Liquid Line

About my work
Liquid Line, is the exploration of liquids and how it takes form of the object it is contained within. I also explored the viscosity of each liquid and how the weather and incline effects the flow of the liquid itself. It does not matter what liquid or its viscosity when poured out it takes shape of a line. The viscosity however does change the thickness of the line and how slow the liquid forms the line.

Artist Statement
Chloe Morrell is a senior student at Sam Houston State University and will graduate with her BFA in the spring of next year. Morrell grew up just forty-five minutes from Huntsville, TX, and as a child in a small town was forced to create her own entertainment. Her dedication to her craft began in High School, under the tutelage of Mel Basham - the former fine arts teacher at Shepherd High School. Morrell has followed in her mentor's footsteps and hopes to use her appreciation for the arts to bestow passion and love for creation onto the next generation of future artists.
Morrell's work focuses on the strange and unusual, oftentimes combining complete opposites to create cohesive and thought-provoking work. Her recent interest in political satire has added a new level to her art - one that spares no politician from her sarcastic rhetoric.
Morrell cites Picasso, Surrealism, Politics, and her mentor Ms. Basham as her most important inspirations.
