13 Lines is an exhibition of works by artists in Michael Galbreth's Fall 2019 ARTS 4311 Advanced Studio class. Each of the 13 students in the class created site specific art works that each are inspired by the concept of “line.” The exhibition was conceived by Galbreth who passed away shortly before the exhibition was scheduled to begin. The exhibition is dedicated to his memory.

In the class, Galbreth prompted each of the artists to think about how the idea of line would be expressed in a work of art. The artists developed concepts for works that would be located at particular sites on the SHSU campus. The relationship of the site to the works was an important consideration.
