This work is based on the concept of breaking everything into its most simple construction. A line. I did this by standing inside a space where there is a large window and I traced objects on the other side with blue painters tape so that the window would be a new plane of 2D constructed line. The objects on the outside line up when standing in the correct position. 

         My usual work

My work is based on creating characters of fictional and fantastical backgrounds and bringing them into this plane of existence with the use of concept art. I use ink pens and watercolor for the majority of my work. I always enjoyed the wonder behind imagination and the thought of fiction becoming reality so I do what I can to bring my own imagination out for the world to see. Some of these characters are representations of people in my life while others are created purely of my imagination. Sometimes creating characters is my way of getting my emotions out so they can be understood more clearly but other but also by myself.

Ashley Burnett was born and raised in Huntsville TX. She has been interested in art since she was a child as a creative outlet. She didn’t have much growing up so her creativity was her largest source of entertainment. Ashley will be graduating in the fall of 2019 with a Bachelor's degree in 2D fine arts.
